The Racial Equity Index

<h1>Welcome to our Patreon Community! We are so grateful to have you here.</h1> Our goal with Patreon is to create a community of supporters that want to invest as true partners and supporters of a BIPOC led collective. As and when we grow we hope to be able to share with you all, our community, discussions, learnings, news and more from our collective as we work to build the first-ever index for racial equity in Global Development. <h1></h1>The Racial Equity Index is a fiscally sponsored project by Moore Impact and is a BIPOC formed and led group of people who have over 50+ years in global development, have all experienced racism in global development, and have come together to create an anti-racist collective dedicated to building a racial equity index to hold the global development sector accountable in dismantling all forms of systemic racism. We formed as a collective in July 2020 and have been volunteer-run since our inception. In the past two years we have done an incredible amount of research, analysis and development on indicators of racial equity in global development. We are now (in 2022) ready to build the first pilot of our index. Your support will help make our work more sustainable and will support us in: 
<ul>
	<li>Taking an intentional (not rushing to the standards that white supremacy culture has set), anti-racist and deliberate path as we create this accountability mechanism.</li>
	<li>Supporting our BIPOC collective members who have been volunteers for nearly two years in compensating them for their continued sweat equity and labor. </li>
	<li>Providing mental health and community support to our collective as we not only navigate racism in global development every.damn.day but also move through triggering accounts of racism and racial violence in our demands for accountability from the global development sector. </li>
	<li>Dedicating our valuable labor, time, and energy to this work instead of fighting for funding from foundations and philanthropists who continue to not live up to “trust-based” philanthropy. </li>
</ul>
